pineapple lilyThis is my best idea since I thought of growing my own cocoa beans and never buying chocolate ever again. While I stand by that being a good idea, it did fall flat after a bit of research. Australia doesn’t have the climate for cocoa beans, especially not Tasmania, and there’s only one main variety of bean. You can’t just grow white chocolate beans, or dark with orange caramel infusion beans. Well, that’s not my fault.

This time, I’m thinking of just straight up starting my own florist. Simple, right? I just need to find some Gladioli online and then I can get to what’s basically growing my own money. I don’t know why people have never thought of this before. Flowers are the easiest things in the world, period; all you have to do is stick them in the ground, water them…um, something about sun, and up they pop. And have you been to a florist? Those things are expensive! There used to be a lady at the local Market who sold summer bulbs, and people would flock to her. Eight dollars a bunch, and they sold like hotcakes. I’d love to ask how she grew so many, but I think she died in a freak dandelion incident. Nature hikes: not even once.

But I’ve got a garden. I have space. I have water coming from the tap, and it’s sunny outside. That’s all I need for my success recipe, except for maybe seeds. But this is Keymore: seeds are everywhere! Also, the internet. And the market is every week, so depending on how long these things take to grow, I could be rolling in flower money any day now. Flowers are pretty much, like, three day growers, right? I’ll do some research into agapanthus flowers, and maybe check out other varieties that sell nicely. Pineapple lily are really nice, and sometimes the lady sold loads of them as well. Now we’re heading into summer, and everything looks like it’s swinging my way!
